Accredited Enterprise Security Management System ensures world class security for the Cloud.

Date: 17 Jan 2013

Interoute has announced the ISO 27001 certification of its Paris Data Centre Operations. This is the sixth of Interoute’s nine European Data Centres to attain the internationally recognised information security management best practice standard for Security and Risk Management and demonstrates Interoute’s continued commitment to providing secure ICT managed hosting solutions.

Data security is essential for enterprises to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical data to outsourced ICT solutions providers. Interoute’s ISO 27001 security controls ensure the necessary protection for organisations to leverage the cost and technical flexibility of the cloud with Interoute, while protecting the privacy of their data assets.

Security management is vital for organisations that want to achieve significant cost savings while assuring the security and quality of their outsourced ICT business technologies.  Interoute’s strategic focus on ISO 27001 and ITIL service management best practices provides the assurance of security and quality, empowering enterprises to meet the challenges for their business technology within Interoute’s Data Centres.

Joe Stevens, Chief Security & Risk Officer at Interoute commented “Our long standing commitment to ISO 27001 and ITIL service management is demonstrated by the scope of our ISO 27001 certification, which encompasses our Data Centres throughout Europe. Interoute’s Enterprise Security Management System means organisations’ critical data and ICT infrastructure are protected with best practice security and risk controls.”

Interoute offers a full portfolio of managed hosting and cloud solutions to enterprises, as well as the network to connect and secure the cloud environment. Its pan-European network provides dedicated capacity and protected transmission products, including MPLS VPN, DDoS protection, firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Protection Services, as well as secure managed hosting solutions and private clouds. Interoute has adopted and integrated the ISO 27001 certification across its entire product portfolio and operations processes in order to maintain the security and quality objectives for its customers.
