Callcredit Information Group, the Leeds-based consumer insight specialist, has chosen TelecityGroup to host its core IT infrastructure. Callcredit has relocated its primary infrastructure into two TelecityGroup facilities as the first stage of a three year data centre upgrade programme, which will see the Group consolidate and upgrade its IT to ensure business agility and maximise the customer experience it provides.
Callcredit specialises in managing consumer data for businesses across a variety of sectors, including financial services, insurance and the public sector. It provides a variety of insight services that include credit referencing, marketing services, consumer information, interactive solutions and consultative analytics. The Group has experienced extremely fast growth in recent years, particularly due to the strategic acquisitions it has made. This resulted in the Group operating fragmented IT systems, which included a variety of data centres across the UK. In order to minimise downtime, improve latency and maximise its overall customer experience, Callcredit decided to begin its data centre upgrade programme by setting up two new principal facilities with TelecityGroup in the UK.
Adrian Mitri, Chief Operating Officer, Callcredit commented: “To maintain the growth of our company and ensure we can manage increasing quantities of data as quickly, securely and efficiently as possible, we decided to upgrade our IT infrastructure so that it totally aligns with industry best practice. By choosing TelecityGroup to support this process, we’ve not only ensured premium data centre environments to locate our IT, but we’ve also gained a real partner. TelecityGroup’s customer service is exemplary – it provides strategic consultation, including advice on other partners to work with as part of the project, as well as having the upmost confidence in the company to support the ongoing IT consolidation process.”
By using two diverse TelecityGroup facilities Callcredit is ensuring it can achieve sufficient separation to support its stringent business continuity and disaster recovery requirements, whilst still being able to achieve the low latency that is so critical to its financial services customers. As custodians of its customers’ mission-critical data, TelecityGroup’s adherence to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), amongst a variety of other accreditations, is also critical to ensure the data security that is so important to Callcredit’s business model.
Adriaan Oosthoek, Managing Director, TelecityGroup UK says: “In today’s ultra-competitive business environment, it is crucial that organisations’ IT set-up is as efficient and agile as possible in order to maximise customer experience and be able to move and grow quickly. Callcredit’s innovative data centre consolidation programme is designed to achieve exactly this, and enable the company to continue to build on its comprehensive product portfolio. We’re delighted that Callcredit has recognised our immaculate attention to detail in designing, building and maintaining the ideal environments to ensure IT resilience, security and efficiency, as well as our ability to truly partner with our customers.”
