GlassHouse appoints SVP of Global Sales

GlassHouse Technologies has announced the appointment of Dave Malcolmson as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. In this role, Malcolmson will be responsible for driving sales and business development for GlassHouse in the North American, European and Asia Pacific markets.

Date: 24 Sep 2012

“It’s an exciting time to have Dave join and lead our worldwide sales team, as we enter into a new phase of growth, vision and momentum,” said Patrick Scannell, President and CEO of GlassHouse. “As our clients’ IT environments have become increasingly complex, it has become equally important that we serve our customers consistently across all of our global markets. Dave brings to GlassHouse a deep and comprehensive sales management and IT services experience, and will help us continue to evolve our trusted advisor relationships as our clients grapple with a rapidly changing IT landscape and the complexities of cloud, storage, compliance, security and big data.”

Before joining GlassHouse, Dave served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Ness Technologies, a global IT services provider, where he was responsible for sales teams in North America and Europe. Previously he was Senior Vice President with Fujitsu America Inc., for IT services. Prior to Fujitsu, he was Vice President and General Manager for Infrastructure Services at Keane Inc., and also held leadership roles at MCI Systemhouse Inc. and IBM Canada Ltd. Dave earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Calgary.

Malcolmson joins GlassHouse Technologies as the company is also expanding its offerings with new consulting and managed services, particularly in cloud computing and virtualisation. The company recently launched its Accelerated Cloud Enablement (ACE) service and Stateless Reference Architecture to help enterprises achieve their business goals more effectively using cloud and virtualisation technologies.
