“Mike brings with him over two decades of leadership experience and a proven track record of corporate growth in the software industry,” said Rodney Rogers, chairman and chief executive officer of Virtustream. “His deep understanding of our markets, products, and our enterprise clientele will help to shape the future direction of Virtustream.”
Prior to joining Virtustream, Provenzano was the chief financial officer at Aspect Software. He was responsible for finance, operations and human resources. Provenzano provided strategic financial direction for the company and led all accounting, financial planning, budgeting, treasury, facilities and risk management activities. Under his direction, Aspect Software successfully merged with or acquired a total of 12 companies with purchase price consideration of more than $1.3 billion. Provenzano also led the financing of more than $3 billion through various credit facilities including revolving lines of credit, bank term loans and publicly traded high yield bonds.

Over the years, Mike has been recognised for his accomplishments and reputation in the technology industry. In 2005, he was named a “40 Under 40” business leader to watch in the Greater Boston region by the Boston Business Journal. Later, in 2009, he was announced as the CFO of the Year Honoree for large privately held companies. Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts.
