Cummins Power Generation announces production readiness for EPA Tier 4 Interim Certification across 680-2750 kW Generator Set Range

Cummins Power Generation Inc says that the company’s entire stationary diesel generator set range from 680-2750 kW, including the industry-leading 2750 kW diesel generator set, will be ready to meet the most stringent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations for the North American market. Cummins Power Generation will start shipment of Tier 4 interim certified generator sets beginning in Q3 of 2012. The breadth of Cummins Power Generation’s Tier 4 Interim Certified product offerings demonstrates Cummins commitment to its customers as well as to the environment.

Date: 21 Jun 2012

Customers’ concerns for economic solutions and satisfying environmental regulation will be the hallmark of the Cummins Power Generation product line. Cummins will offer a range of diesel generator sets delivering best-in-class performance while complying with the EPA’s newest and most stringent emissions standards. This is a formula which customers need in today’s economy and environment, and is why Cummins advocates and supports the implementation of the EPA’s commitment to the world’s lowest diesel emission levels.

“Cummins Power Generation sets will deliver what customers need in these challenging times,” said Tony Satterthwaite, Vice President, Cummins Inc. and President, Power Generation Business. “The generator sets are already being built on our production lines for customer field tests. We’re getting great feedback from our field tests, and our products, people and customer support team are ready for Tier4 Interim Certified. Cummins Power Generation is the leading industry expert on the implications of EPA Tier 4 regulations for the application of stationary generator sets. We are committed to ensuring our customers can make the right choices and maintain complete operational flexibility without impacting their commitment to the environment”.
